Vintage Sakata Akoya Pearls & Sterling Silver Brooch in Original Decorative Box

Description

The prettiest pink luster 8 mm. pearls set in rhodium-flashed sterling silver with an elegant cut-out leaf design, exactly 2 inches long.  This pin/brooch also has a pendant bail so it can be worn as a necklace.  It is simply marked 'silver' as was the case for a lot of small sterling items from Japan in the early-to-mid 20th century.  This was purchased in Japan in the late 1950's and kept in a cedar box ever since.  It appears never worn and comes in its' original brocade box.
