VINTAGE GRAY & DAVIS AMESBURY MASSACHUSETTS FIRE CHIEF SIGN METAL

Description

After trying to do a little research on this item I found there to be at one time a company located in Amesbury, Massachusetts by the name of Gray & Davis which were the manufacturer of vintage automobile headlamps from 1896-1904. Now I couldn't find anything saying that the company may have had their own fire department on premises, but this metal star has printed on it "Fire Chief,  Our Hero"  March 25, 1926.   The bar over the top of the star has written on it "Gray & Davis", and there is a pin attached to the back for attaching to an object or clothing.  I did find it to be a very interesting piece of history.   It does  have some weight to it being 11.2 ounces.   Buyer to pay priority shipping, thanks for looking.
