A reason why, for instance, Mid-Century Modern design is so sought after. Exhibiting a clean aesthetic in tune with nature, it marries form with function producing objects that maintain a visual modernity despite their age. Good design, well executed, channels a vision to realize harmonic balance. For an artisan it's a deeply personal manifestation; for a company or a product, a team that gels. Conversely, if the human element is cheapened, chaotic, or plain ceases to care: the object suffers. And so too does the world. Paypal Confirmed Addresses Only; No P.O. Box Delivery
We ship via a variety of services. Typically larger items are shipped Ground via UPS or Fed-EX. Most media items are shipped via the USPS by Media Mail, Express, or Priority. International means may vary but most of our items are now shipped internationally via the Ebay Global Shipping Program. According to the policies of that program, once goods are accepted at the Ebay U.S. hub (goods are inspected), we are out of the loop and all subsequent transport and claims for damage, loss, etc. are soley Ebay's responsibility.
We utilize parcel tracking on all services. Tracking is uploaded at the time of item processing. We utilize freight insurance on applicable items.
We expertly pack and ship all items to arrive safely at their destination. However, even with such care, occasionally damage can occur due to excessive handling by the carrier. In such cases you will have two options, 1) keep the item if the damage was minor and you are happy doing so, or 2) return the item to us based on a call tag (we cover return shipping in this event). You may need to hold the item for the carrier to perform a damage inspection; we will give instructions for this. You will also need to provide us with photos and a description of the damage.
Under no circumstances can we discount items after a sale.
Items will usually be shipped on the same or next business day of receiving full cleared payment but may take up to two business days.
Handling Charges
. While we do our utmost to keep shipping charges low (better for us and you), due to the nature of many of the products we sell proper packing materials and significant labor is a must to ensure a safe journey. We therefore build in some charges to cover this as we believe that overall customers would prefer to receive their hard won treasures in perfect condition rather than risk poor packing due to artificially low shipping charges.
Payment Policy
Only PayPal is accepted. RI residents add 7% state sales tax.
Payment is expected within 72 hours of auction close or 24 hours on Buy It Now items, that 's why they call it buy it NOW. Unpaid items will generate an Ebay unpaid case report. We reserve the right to re-list an item after the initial 72 hours and to deny payments after that time frame if we have re-listed the item(s).
International buyers
please wait for an invoice before making payment. All customs, duties, and any other related fees are the sole responsibility of the buyer / importer.
In some cases we may receive a customs bill after the shipment
. This will generate an additional invoice to the buyer after the original transaction date that will include a scanned copy of the carrier (customs) invoice showing the original tracking information and associated charges. We try to avoid this but in some jurisdictions and situations, especially on certain pieces where duties may have to be estimated, its not always possible and beyond our control. To be clear:
international buyers are responsible for any customs fees on their order including those invoiced after the original transaction (we will always provide actual freight documentation in these cases)
. We reserve the right to NOT ship an item(s) if they are subject to ITAR or other restrictions, or to deny shipping to certain areas at our discretion. We cannot discount invoices or otherwise fudge customs paperwork, please don't ask.
Right to deny service.
We reserve the right to deny service to any customer we are not comfortable with including: freight forwarders, "aggregators", intermediaries, known scam risks, etc. If payment has been made and we decide to invoke this policy we will refund monies in full through Paypal and ban the account from our auctions. This is not grounds for negative feedback and any such feedback will be appealed based on our explicit policy. Unfortunately a policy of this kind is necessary for protection from Ebay/Paypal abuses and system gaming. We use proper due diligence in exercising our discretion here.
In the interest of fairness to other bidders please refrain from bidding on items you do not intend to or can not pay for. Please do not bid on items and later ask about payment plans, etc. We desire everyone to have a fair chance and a hassle free auction.
Return Policy and Listing Philosophy

end auctions early except in exceptional circumstances. Bluewater Vintage makes every effort to accurately describe in detail every item we sell and in general we do NOT accept returns EXCEPT for the following limited reasons:
Item was not as described *
Item was damaged in shipping
Exceptional circumstances (at our discretion)
* This is an exceptionally rare circumstance (in fact, it's never happened .. but we never say never, ever!). Our entire selling philosophy is centered around thorough research and verification, robust descriptions, and excellent photographs to ensure a safe and hassle-free buying experience. While "not as described" can be subjective we avoid this problem by rigorously inspecting our items and revealing any flaws to prospective buyers. On vintage or antique items a verification and/or testing process is followed. Photos are integral to our listings so we offer plenty from a variety of angles and make sure they're clear, detailed, and large. As the old adage goes, pictures are worth a thousand words, and nowhere is this more applicable than on Ebay. Anything not covered in our thorough written description is likely in the photos, please examine each carefully prior to bidding. If a 'flaw' (subjective term) or other detail is somehow not covered in our written description but
is
clearly visible in our photos (and vice versa) we consider it properly represented. Please note: a listing means the WHOLE listing. This includes the top Ebay portion and photos but more importantly our custom portion which contains our detailed written description, additional information, and MAY include additional photographs NOT included in the Ebay photo section. Customers have 3 days after delivery to notify us of a problem otherwise the sale is final. We will ask for pictures and written description. Except for circumstances outlined in this policy area all items are sold "AS IS" and all sales are final. No buyer's remorse, please.

Photos and Technology
. We shoot Hi-res source photos to capture inherent detail and process on calibrated screens to achieve best results. However, your screen is most likely
not
calibrated. Keep in mind: different monitors, graphics hardware, OS platforms, browsers, and differing computer hardware all produce slightly different results, i.e. colors, contrast, etc. That's the nature of on-line shopping. While in general 'what you see is what you get' there may be slight differences based on the aforementioned factors. We cannot be responsible for these differences. If in doubt ask a question. Buyer beware.
A word about browsers:
our auctions are best viewed in up to date browsers, i.e. if you're still using IE6 or 7, it probably won't look as intended, even though you will still see the vital information. We encourage you to improve you're web experience and upgrade! .. it's free.

: all our image content is original work and is therefore protected by copyright law. All copyrighted material that may be shown in our product photos are the property of their respective trademark owners and are subject to their terms and conditions. We give advance permission to link to our photos or listings as long as the content remains identical and unmodified, clearly identifies or references "Bluewater Vintage" as the originating source, and our descriptive content, images and/or watermarks, are not tampered with. Inquire with special requests.

Bluewater Vintage guarantees authenticity of all our items. We certify that all items sold as vintage, original, antique, etc. are absolutely as described to the best of our abilities and research capability. We do NOT deal in fakes, knockoffs, counterfeits, photos of photos, etc. We do sell some reproductions and all such reproductions will be clearly described as such to avoid any confusion between a "repro" and an "original". Many of these are "vintage reproductions" which could be a 1970's vintage print of an original 1940's work for example. These will always be clearly described. We have a network of professional Art, Antique, and Collectible dealers and experts that we utilize to authenticate many rare and original items. If we have any doubts or reservations about an item it will be either clearly represented as such or not listed. We have no desire to "stretch" the truth regarding an item. If we're not sure about something we don't fake it, we communicate our doubt and sell it that way. If you have any concerns about an item purchased from us, we invite you to have a professional appraiser or curator evaluate the item. If you provide us with an authentic written evaluation (on letterhead or notarized) from a credible source that provides clear proof contradicting our assessment, we will refund you in full and pay for return shipping. Any refund is limited to the price paid for the item plus shipping. This guarantee does not cover any claims for damage, liability, fitness for merchantability, etc. All items are researched, authenticated, and verified to the best of our ability.
