Gorgeous Retro 14k Gold Sapphire Floral Spray Pin / Brooch
Presented is a gorgeous retro 14 karat yellow gold and sapphire pin or brooch.
This piece dates to around the 1950s-1960s, and was made in America. The pin is
done in a lovely floral spray type design, very securely prong set with 12 oval
cabochon sapphires. The sapphires are real, mined-from-the-ground stones,
verified by our gemologist, with a very striking rich deep blue color. The
sapphires vary in size from about 76 points (about three quarters of a carat) at
the smallest to about 208 points (2.08 carats) at the largest.
This piece is in great condition. The clasp functions well and closes
securely. The sapphires are all securely set, with no chips. There are no breaks
and no repairs.
This piece is not stamped or hallmarked, but we have tested it with nitric
acid and guarantee it to be 14 karat gold.
The pin is about 2 3/4 inches long.
This piece weighs 18.4 grams.
