RARE Unique and Unusual maker's Mark of a woman holding up 2 fingers, This long haired woman is holding up the ring and index fingers. I have never seen another maker's mark like this.

The piece is not steel and too heavy for aluminum but it doesn't seem to have
tarnished so it must be some non-magnetic alloy.
Yes, this was originally a buckle; on its travels someone removed the tang that the buckle mounted to and then
ground the nipple that hooked into the holes, BUT I think they did this beautiful art object a service because now
you can replace those and again have a Buckle OR you can add a pin to make it into a Brooch OR
slide a thong into the slot and wear it as a pendant.
