    Description

    Antique Japanese Shaped Porcelain Plate Late Edo, mark on base is Ming Yongle, attesting to  quality Hand thrown porcelain with shaped, scalloped rim, with remnants of gold edge that was original.  Beautiful handpainted central roundel of flowers and diapered border, with enameled Phoenix and coins (?). Equally beautiful underside coninuous border in iron red, green and gold. Small plate but filled with elegant designs by skilled craftsman of a long ago era.
    Approximately 5" diameter and 1" deep.
