Description
Featured in this lot is a Japan (1868-69) Undated Ichibu rectangle silver coin. A total of 4,267,000 pieces were struck under the ruler Mutsuhito (Meiji). Silver fineness was .8070 and the coin weighs 8.3 grams. It measures 24.84 mm x 16.37 mm. An interesting chopmark is seen near the top of the reverse. This moderately circulated piece has toned to a golden-brass color (as pictured), but shows no damage or surface distractions so often seen on these unusual coins.NOTE: The coin pictured is the actual one you will receive.
