HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A magnitude 3.5 earthquake struck an area between Oahu and Molokai Tuesday afternoon, producing strong shaking that could be felt on both islands.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center says there’s no tsunami threat to the islands.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake struck just before 2 p.m. in the Kaiwi Channel, about 15.7 miles southeast of Maunaloa, Molokai.
Hundreds of residents reported feeling the shaking from Kailua to Aina Haina, as well as on Molokai.
