6 killed in head-on collision in south Ecuador

QUITO, July 22 (Xinhua) — Six people were killed and two others injured after a bus collided head-on with a private vehicle along a stretch of the South Pan-American Highway in southern Ecuador’s Azuay province, local authorities said Monday.
“Six people were registered with no vital signs and two were injured,” the Azuay Red Cross said on X, formerly Twitter.
The Fire Department in Cuenca, Azuay’s capital, reported that among the dead were three minors. ■
